Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years of food handling service, preparation or cashiering experience
  • two years of lead or supervisory experience
  • valid Food Handlers Card
  • able to pass a criminal history background check
  • able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • able to travel between campuses
  • able to lift objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop and concentrate for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years of food handling, service, preparation, or cashiering experience
  • two years of lead or supervisory experience
  • valid Food Handlers Card
  • self-motivated and eager to grow and learn
  • strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Work in a multifaceted role changing positions from food service worker, cook, cashier, and manager as needed
  • perform all food service worker duties
  • support food service workers to ensure completion of opening and closing tasks
  • work under minimal supervision
  • assist with operational oversight and training
  • prepare, serve, and replenish food and drink
  • prepare and cook foods including panning frozen food, cupping fruit, washing and bagging fruits and vegetables, baking, chopping salad items, monitoring food temperatures, preparing sandwiches, removing hot items from ovens
  • set up and stock work areas with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • monitor inventory levels, order food and supply items timely, ensure proper storage and rotation
  • assist in verifying and monitoring HACCP procedures such as temperature, sanitizer, and storage logs
  • maintain courteous and respectful relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • comply with company policies on safety, security, emergencies, and energy
  • perform other duties related to job function as assigned
  • work closely with school administrators, parents, and children to resolve issues, communicate policies, and provide excellent customer service
