Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Food Handlers card
- Six months of food handling service or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- Ability to obtain and hold a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Ability to communicate clearly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Food Handlers card
- Six months of food handling service or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles, basic mathematical concepts, cooking and food prep equipment, basic inventory principles, cash handling procedures, food prep and cooking techniques, cleaning and sanitizing methods
- Skills in customer service, prepping and cooking food, operating equipment, inventory monitoring, reading recipe directions, maintaining order among school age children, handling and counting money, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas and machinery
- Ability to handle food safely, read food thermometers, and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
Job Duties
- Assist in preparing and cooking foods including panning frozen food, cupping fruit, washing and bagging fruits and vegetables, baking foods, chopping salad items, monitoring food temperatures, preparing sandwiches, removing hot items from ovens
- Serve and replenish food supply
- Clean cafeteria and kitchen areas including wiping down tables, placing trays, picking up trash, sweeping and mopping floors, loading dishwashers, cleaning refrigerators and freezers, cleaning ovens, putting garbage cans in proper locations, sanitizing and cleaning towels, putting up benches
- Prepare cafeteria for meals including placing food in hot carts, rotating foods, preparing utensils and napkins, preparing trays, placing scoops and spoons for serving
- Assist with monitoring food inventory and perform counts of unused food following daily meal service
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
