Job Duties
- Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities
- Performs heavy cleaning such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish
- Notifies managers about repair or maintenance needs
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with clients, coworkers, and supervisors
- Complies with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors
- Dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Moves furniture and equipment to clean areas
- Removes stains using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Performs seasonal tasks such as raking leaves and removing snow
- Mixes detergents and cleaning solutions
- Cleans and vacuums carpets
- Gathers and empties trash
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Services and supplies restrooms
- Cleans overhead vents, blinds, and wood furniture
- Cleans glass surfaces including windows and mirrors
- Applies insecticides and fumigants
- Sets up and removes decorations and equipment for events
- Maintains janitor's closet and equipment
- Requisitions supplies and monitors building security
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
