Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age or older
- no experience required with on the job training provided
- no high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
Job Qualifications
- prior customer service experience preferred
- one year of prior similar work experience preferred
- ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships
- ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving furniture
- basic literacy and comprehension skills
Job Duties
- clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
- sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas
- regularly check and empty trash receptacles
- follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- notify lead cleaner or manager regarding the need for repairs or additions
- establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles
- clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
- polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel
- wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks
- clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning agents and tools
- sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other seasonal tasks
- maintain the cleanliness and polish restrooms as needed
- comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities
