Job Duties
- Coordinate and work closely with other food service employees to ensure baked goods are prepared on time
- Review daily production records and determine appropriate standardized recipes
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to approved standardized recipes
- Prepare mixes and bake bread, rolls, buns, biscuits, muffins, pizza crusts, wiener in a blanket, and other baked goods
- Set-up serving counters, serve students and staff, and replenish food items as needed
- Clean and maintain work areas, serving counters, and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
- Label, store, and dispose of leftover foods properly and document production records
- Receive ordered provisions, document temperatures, report discrepancies, and store goods properly
- Record supplies and ingredients used and assist with inventory and routine record-keeping
- Direct and instruct cafeteria helpers and other assistants
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and in-service training
- Achieve minimum required USDA training hours annually
