Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to five years experience in area of expertise such as scheduling financial clearance or patient access
- National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire
- Must be proficient in the use of patient registration patient accounting systems and related software systems
- Must be local and willing to commute within the Trinity Health Mid Atlantic region
- Must be available for 40 hours per week daytime shifts with a rotating schedule based on department needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to five years experience in scheduling financial clearance or patient access
- National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one year of hire
- Proficient in patient registration and patient accounting systems and related software
- Associates degree preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling with mastery in at least three or more modalities and insurance verification processes
- Three years scheduling experience in an acute care setting
- Experience in complex facility based ancillary testing across multiple facilities and states
- Strong knowledge of third party and government payer billing and reimbursement guidelines as well as department performance standards policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary voice of Trinity Health MidAtlantic for concierge and access requests ensuring positive patient interactions and managing high-priority referrals
- Perform patient access functions including scheduling registration insurance verification and resolution of escalated billing issues
- Coordinate multiple clinical services in proper sequence communicate test preparations insurance requirements authorizations and financial responsibilities to patients and physician offices
- Collaborate across departments to optimize resources while accommodating physician preferences and patient needs
- Resolve complex scheduling matters such as STAT appointments approvals block times and study selections
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery systems and maintain consistent decision-making standards
