Job Requirements

- ability to operate a forklift, crane, and hand tools (certification required)

Job Duties
- follow hazcom and workplace safety practices to maintain a safe working environment
- receive and interpret verbal or written instructions to support daily production needs
- work from rolling schedules to process material to proper size, gauge, and length
- perform quality checks to ensure product meets specifications and provide feedback to operators
- conduct weld crush tests to verify weld integrity
- adjust turkshead rolls to maintain straightness tolerances
- assist with mill changeovers and set up traveling cutoff saws for each size
- replace saw blades and dies while adjusting guide rolls as needed
- set up and operate diagraph printing equipment
- perform pull tests for each new heat
- complete required operating and quality reports accurately
- clean slugs and maintain cleanliness in saw house, exit conveyor, and handling areas
- assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs
- support other operators during breakdowns, bottlenecks, or scheduled downtime
- report equipment irregularities or malfunctions to management or maintenance
- maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance per the posted schedule
