Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
  • Food knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and cleans with chemicals
  • Works with sharp knives and hot plates
  • Frequently works in hot environments

Job Duties

  • Prepare sautés and perform all station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and egg cooking
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers
  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
  • Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements and keep production records
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • Practice food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP
  • Operate kitchen equipment and handle ingredients including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of product
