Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in sanitation or food processing preferred
- Ability to work night shifts Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
- Physically able to perform cleaning and lifting tasks
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely
- Willingness to become certified as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator
Job Qualifications
- Experience with the utilization of sanitation tools and chemicals
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Maintain cleaning and sanitation in accordance with the company master sanitation program
- Utilize chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floor, and equipment
- Utilize refuse and sanitation tools in a proper and safe manner
- Removal of debris from processing area
- Communicate chemicals supply levels to management
- Observe and record facility conditions to ensure all areas are within company and regulatory specifications
- Verify the adequacy of cleaning and sanitation performed on areas and equipment and complete and sign off on appropriate forms
