Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year sanitation experience required
Required to lift up to 50 lbs and/or up to 70 lbs with power hoses
Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions and adherence to safety protocols
Ability to perform repetitive tasks including standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders
Ability to work in cold and wet environments approximately 34 degrees
Must have reliable transportation
Must be flexible with schedule including weekends and overtime
Ability to follow company safety policies and wear protective gear
Must work third-shift hours

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of chemical usage, proportions and regulations
Decision making and problem solving skills
Listening skills
Knowledge of sanitation equipment and tools
Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures
Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations
Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, cleaning, maintenance, production or chemical mixing roles
Willingness to learn and adhere to proper safety procedures when working with moving machinery
Willingness to accept change and work in a team-based environment

Job Duties

Detailed sanitation and upkeep of the facility
Ensuring all processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized
Maintaining facility and surrounding area in compliance with GMP and Food Safety Standards
Removal of all trash and product soil from plant
Cleaning floors, walls, ceilings
Following directions of the Sanitation Supervisor and Leads
Adhering to sanitation equipment tool and equipment guidelines
Wearing specified company provided protective gear at all times
