Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift, stack, and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Experience working with strong cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work evening shifts including Tuesdays through Fridays and Saturdays, with occasional Sundays
- Willingness to follow strict health and safety policies
- Capability to work in hot, damp, and confined spaces
- Strong physical stamina required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in sanitation or food manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in demanding conditions
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning, washing, rinsing, and sanitization of bakery machinery, conveyors, ovens, pots, pans, mixing bowls, and more
- Degrease and maintain various types of equipment as scheduled
- Clean non-production areas including ceilings, pipes, fans, and structural items
- Mop, deck brush, and squeegee floors during wash downs as directed
- Utilize strong chemicals and safety equipment per Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP)
- Operate in hot, damp, wet conditions, and work with strong chemicals, often in high or tight spaces around machinery
- Follow established Health & Safety policies at all times
- Attentively take direction from the supervisor and complete assigned tasks according to the Master Cleaning Schedule
- Accurately record cleaning activities as required
- Inspect all assigned areas and equipment before advising the supervisor of completion
