  • Ability to read, write legibly, and perform simple mathematic functions

  • previous sanitation or cleaning experience preferred
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Cleans equipment per the sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) as directed by the sanitation supervisor and/or sanitation manager to maintain a clean processing environment for all products
  • dismantles equipment prior to cleaning as needed and reassembles when completed as directed
  • works with the sanitation supervisor to sample the flour tailings and maintain the cleanliness of the flour sifter as required
  • cleans the facility to maintain a clean processing environment for all products
  • cleans employee services areas to maintain clean facilities for all employees
  • utilizes cleaning chemicals in the appropriate quantities and for the intended purposes to assure plant surfaces are clean and meet regulatory standards
  • cleans equipment after repairs and prior to the return of equipment to production at the direction of the production and/or maintenance supervisor
  • cleans the offices, emptying trash, vacuuming and performing other cleaning functions
  • maintains the office kitchens and bathrooms ensuring areas are clean and sanitary
  • maintains the grounds as required
  • replenishes soaps, paper products, hairnets etc. as needed
  • serves on the production line as needed and on the safety committee if selected
  • performs other duties as assigned
