Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess sound knowledge of sanitary restoration steps
- Must be knowledgeable in industrial safety practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out and HAZCOMM
- Must be legally employable in the United States
- Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in various environmental conditions typical of food processing plants
- Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be dependable, competent and willing to follow up on assigned tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- 0-1 year of experience in food processing or heavy industry required
- 2+ years of experience in food or protein industry preferred
- Knowledge of sanitary restoration steps
- Understanding of industrial safety practices including Lock Out/Tag Out and HAZCOMM
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Perform steps of sanitary restoration on assigned equipment
- Utilize industrial sanitizers and equipment to ensure USDA-compliant cleanliness
- Ensure sanitation team members have necessary training and personal protective equipment
- Communicate sanitation requirements from supervisors to team members
- Perform inspections of equipment before, during, and after sanitation
- Occasionally operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts after training
- Undertake other duties or special projects as assigned
