Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess sound knowledge of sanitary restoration steps
  • Must be knowledgeable in industrial safety practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out and HAZCOMM
  • Must be legally employable in the United States
  • Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in various environmental conditions typical of food processing plants
  • Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be dependable, competent and willing to follow up on assigned tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • 0-1 year of experience in food processing or heavy industry required
  • 2+ years of experience in food or protein industry preferred
  • Knowledge of sanitary restoration steps
  • Understanding of industrial safety practices including Lock Out/Tag Out and HAZCOMM
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform steps of sanitary restoration on assigned equipment
  • Utilize industrial sanitizers and equipment to ensure USDA-compliant cleanliness
  • Ensure sanitation team members have necessary training and personal protective equipment
  • Communicate sanitation requirements from supervisors to team members
  • Perform inspections of equipment before, during, and after sanitation
  • Occasionally operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts after training
  • Undertake other duties or special projects as assigned
