Job Requirements

  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • must be legally employable in the United States
  • must maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, loud, and wet
  • dependable, competent, and able to follow up on assigned tasks
  • able to work effectively with all organizational levels

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 0-1 year experience in food processing or heavy industry
  • preferred 2+ years of experience in food or protein industry
  • sound knowledge of sanitary restoration steps
  • knowledgeable in industrial safety practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out and HAZCOMM
  • bilingual skills highly preferred (English/Spanish)
  • ability to communicate effectively with diverse team members

Job Duties

  • perform sanitary restoration on assigned equipment in compliance with USDA regulations
  • ensure sanitation team members are adequately trained and equipped
  • communicate sanitation and safety requirements to team members
  • conduct equipment inspections before, during, and after sanitation
  • perform duties as a sanitation team member as needed
  • operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts after training
  • complete other duties or special projects as assigned
