Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in supervisory role within food service or hospitality
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and maintenance tasks
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in stewarding or kitchen supervisory role preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations including OSHA and Department of Health standards
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
  • Experience with inventory control and maintenance oversight
  • Familiarity with food safety compliance
  • Good organizational and administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Redefine hospitality by supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino values
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas including multiple kitchen and dining locations
  • Prepare and distribute assignments to kitchen workers while ensuring health standards are met
  • Ensure kitchens and equipment are in good working order and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment in stewarding department
  • Assist with food safety compliance
  • Support Executive Steward with administrative duties
  • Communicate effectively with team members to keep them informed
  • Conduct training and retraining as necessary
  • Ensure proper setup for banquet functions and readiness for next shift
  • Ensure proper cleaning of china, glassware, and silverware
  • Maintain orderliness in kitchen, back of house, and wood shop areas
  • Supervise assigned team to ensure efficient work performance
  • Take inventory of china, glassware, flatware, and chemicals and report to Executive Steward
