Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food quality preferred
  • ability to work third shift schedule from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as inspecting and moving products
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow GMPs and safety protocols
  • willingness to escalate food safety and quality issues
  • availability to work weekends off (Saturday and Sunday)

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to conduct audits and inspections
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to train and coach staff

Job Duties

  • verify critical control points and critical quality points during production
  • conduct inspections at RTH production to ensure food safety and quality
  • assign daily and weekly tasks to FSQA technicians and sanitation staff
  • verify ingredient accuracy against culinary recipes
  • ensure cook and chill temperature limits are met and documented
  • ensure proper storage of post-lethality exposed products
  • perform finished product inspections for food safety and quality
  • verify chemical titration prior to use
  • conduct online verification checks including metal detection, oxygen analysis, pH, and seal integrity
  • escalate deviations and assist with product disposition
  • conduct audits of production areas and prerequisite programs
  • enforce GMP inspections and document corrections
  • inspect equipment and processing areas for sanitation compliance
  • enforce food defense protocols
  • perform daily, weekly, and monthly food safety tasks such as GMP audits, metal detection verification, environmental monitoring, lab equipment calibration, and hold management
  • hold team members accountable to food safety expectations
  • verify food safety records including receiving and pre-shipment release
  • assist in training new employees on food safety and quality practices
  • coach and empower Quality Technicians and Sanitation associates
  • promptly notify leadership of food safety and quality issues
  • place products on hold and assist with dispositions
  • support production, sanitation, and safety duties including cleaning and safety investigations
  • follow facility GMPs and support food safety and quality programs
  • maintain professional communication and teamwork
  • demonstrate ownership of job responsibilities
