Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- minimum of 5 years management experience in food manufacturing facility
- minimum of 3 years sanitation leadership experience preferred
- bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through metrics and Key Performance Indicators
- ability to plan and prepare action plans to achieve results
- ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations using proven methods
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- able to perform job functions including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
- able to work under temperature variations in a food production environment
- unrestricted visual and audio abilities required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- minimum of 5 years management experience in food manufacturing facility
- minimum of 3 years sanitation leadership experience preferred
- bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- demonstrated ability to lead teams using metrics and Key Performance Indicators
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- experience with Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- ability to plan and implement effective action plans
- attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage plant manufacturing operations related to janitorial and sanitation
- manage labor and supply costs to stay within established budgets
- monitor sanitation technicians for safe chemical use and compliance with procedures
- develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures with visual controls and train staff
- provide leadership to promote a positive work environment and develop team members
- establish metrics and drive process improvements to achieve operational excellence
- schedule personnel to ensure proper sanitation coverage in a 24/7 facility
- train, develop, coach, and supervise sanitation team to ensure safe and effective practices
- perform audits to monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
- oversee pest control, chemical inventory, waste disposal, recycling programs, and sanitation schedule
- ensure compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures
- routinely check chemical concentrations for regulatory compliance
