Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work onsite in Fresno, CA
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading sanitation in a food production environment
  • Physical capability to clean heavy machinery and handle equipment
  • Ability to follow complex sanitation procedures and safety protocols
  • Proficient in mixing and using industrial cleaning chemicals
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Willingness to attend regular safety meetings
  • Committed to compliance with GMP, HACCP and SQF standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a sanitation lead or supervisor within a food production facility
  • Ability to operate floor scrubber and waxing machine
  • Experience using and mixing industrial strength cleaning chemicals and solvents
  • Familiarity with daily, weekly and monthly environmental testing requirements
  • Strong knowledge of company safety guidelines and ability to enforce them among sanitation staff
  • Proficiency in completing and following Master Cleaning Schedule and Sanitation Checklist
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues to operations manager and other department managers
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP principles and Safe Quality Foods policies
  • Intermediate software skills including MS Office and industry-specific software and reporting tools

Job Duties

  • Lead, train, schedule and evaluate the work of sanitation staff including issuing disciplinary action if necessary
  • Plan and organize departmental goals considering feedback from other departmental supervisors/managers
  • Clean heavy-duty food processing machinery and facility with use of proper chemicals and tools
  • Complete proper and accurate documentation for quality assurance purposes
  • Communicate with the production manager, operations manager, administrative staff and/or other department supervisors to troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for improvement
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP principles, Safe Quality Foods (SQF) policies and maintain superior plant cleanliness and sanitation
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of Master Cleaning Schedule and Sanitation Checklist in addition to all safety practices including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Remove PAC belt and clean thoroughly, clean all production equipment which may require pushing/pulling heavy equipment
  • Attend safety meetings on a regular basis
  • Perform additional related duties as required
