Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • at least 5 years of progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • food handlers certification required and must comply with State requirements
  • able to work effectively under pressure maintaining composure
  • a strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests and effectively conveys ideas and solutions

Job Duties

  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of food items ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
  • lead and assist kitchen staff ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation and service
  • anticipate and address issues proactively to maintain smooth kitchen operations
  • convey information clearly and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen adhering to sanitation and safety standards
  • show initiative by anticipating needs and taking proactive steps to address them
  • manage time efficiently to ensure timely food preparation and service
