Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • physically strong and able to perform demanding manual labor
  • no prior loadmaster experience required but relevant cargo or logistics experience preferred
  • ability to learn and apply FAA regulations and company policies
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to work flexible schedule including night and weekend shifts
  • strong mathematical skills for weight and balance calculations

Job Qualifications

  • strong background in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and securing cargo
  • attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • ability to operate ground handling equipment such as forklifts
  • capability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call periods
  • comfort working in extreme weather and austere environments
  • willingness to travel on flights to remote locations

Job Duties

  • ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and documented in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
  • calculate aircraft weight and balance accurately and sign off on final documentation
  • operate or supervise the operation of forklifts, K-loaders, and other ground equipment
  • manage loading and unloading processes at remote locations, often under challenging conditions
  • monitor cargo hold during flight for any shifts or safety issues
  • inspect cargo for hazardous materials and damage before loading
  • adhere to detailed load planning and cargo securing procedures
