Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in H-E-B store operations
  • Completion of company orientation and safety training
  • Knowledge of computer systems including Symbol, ACR, and label machines
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Verbal, written communication and reading skills
  • Ability to adapt and perform duties across multiple departments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting and moving products depending on the department

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Answer customer questions regarding products
  • Take orders and assist with product selection
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales
  • Work flexible schedules across multiple departments
  • Perform stocking, replenishment, product returns, and rotation
  • Build, stock, and maintain displays and fixtures
  • Assist with inventory control and product handling
  • Operate equipment and maintain sanitation standards
  • Comply with store and department SOPs, policies, and laws
  • Work as a checker when not performing cross-functional duties
