Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven, wet ground
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to wear boots throughout the shift
- Flexible availability with possible set schedules
- Willingness to learn oyster shucking and food service skills
- Must be able to work from March/April through October, with year-round potential
- Must obtain or possess Washington Food Workers Card and MAST Certification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant or seafood service is a plus
- Ability to obtain Washington Food Workers Card
- Ability to obtain MAST Certification
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain sanitary standards
- Ability to handle point-of-sale systems
- Friendly and positive attitude
Job Duties
- Master the art of oyster shucking quickly and safely under pressure
- Provide top-tier service and educate guests on Taylor Shellfish products
- Maintain a pristine, sanitary workspace in accordance with WA health codes
- Handle daily sales reporting, cash balancing (Toast POS), and shellfish tag compliance
- Contribute to team efforts by participating in food preparation, service, and cleaning
- Adhere to safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests
