Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven, wet ground
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to wear boots throughout the shift
  • Flexible availability with possible set schedules
  • Willingness to learn oyster shucking and food service skills
  • Must be able to work from March/April through October, with year-round potential
  • Must obtain or possess Washington Food Workers Card and MAST Certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in restaurant or seafood service is a plus
  • Ability to obtain Washington Food Workers Card
  • Ability to obtain MAST Certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain sanitary standards
  • Ability to handle point-of-sale systems
  • Friendly and positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Master the art of oyster shucking quickly and safely under pressure
  • Provide top-tier service and educate guests on Taylor Shellfish products
  • Maintain a pristine, sanitary workspace in accordance with WA health codes
  • Handle daily sales reporting, cash balancing (Toast POS), and shellfish tag compliance
  • Contribute to team efforts by participating in food preparation, service, and cleaning
  • Adhere to safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests
