Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- some college coursework preferred
- associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years previous experience as a sales administrative assistant preferred
- previous direct experience with Delphi and OnQ systems preferred
- must be able to multi-task in a busy environment
- follow through on guest and employee requests
- ensure guest satisfaction
- work as a team player
- relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
- good communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Job Duties
- Meet or exceed pre-determined booking goals for covers and revenue
- meet or exceed budgeted costs and revenue on a monthly average with flexibility to negotiate individual functions within guidelines
- handle inquiry calls promptly within the business day and monitor paperwork flow related to confirming function details
- upsell clients while promoting service quality matching the luxury status of the hotel
- coordinate all Sales group functions
- review function contracts before distribution to clients and hotel staff
- follow up on group progress such as room night pick up, rooming lists, and cut-off dates to ensure maximum occupancy
- generate thank you notes to clients post-functions and promptly address any negative feedback
- solicit repeat business by following up on bookings
- send menus, hotel information, thank you letters, and all correspondence to clients
- type and process sales contracts and distribute paperwork to hotel departments and guests
- assist with month-end data compilation and sales reporting
- handle guest requests knowledgeably and answer questions about hotel facilities and services
- ensure guests experiencing problems receive appropriate responses, compensation, and timely follow-up
- check banquet functions prior to guest arrival and make personal contact with clients introducing service staff
- attend periodic staff meetings with other departments
