Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years sales or brand ambassador experience
  • Experience in wine and spirits or on premise desirable
  • Bartender/mixologist experience preferred
  • Proven sales success
  • Proficient computer skills in VIP and Microsoft Office
  • Self-managed scheduling ability
  • Adaptable communication skills
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to lift 10-50 pounds
  • Willingness to travel
  • Must be located in Chicagoland
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • No past DUI or multiple traffic infractions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or marketing preferred
  • At least 3 years of previous sales or brand ambassador experience
  • Demonstrated balance between relationship building, consultative selling, and closing sales
  • Experience in wine and spirits retail environment or on-premise settings preferred
  • Bartender or mixologist experience preferred
  • Successful sales track record increasing distribution and revenue
  • Computer literate with proficiency in VIP, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email management
  • Ability to create and manage own schedules
  • Comfortable in a fluid, multi-stakeholder environment
  • High degree of emotional intelligence with adaptable communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Able to lift 10-50 pounds
  • Willingness to travel outside designated territory

Job Duties

  • Work in the field 4 days a week selling Good Trouble Bourbon to designated accounts individually or with distributor sales colleagues
  • Utilize sales presentations and tools provided
  • Focus on-premise new account distribution
  • Sell menu placements on-premise
  • Manage retail distribution, shelf management, and display management
  • Conduct staff trainings to ensure GTB brand is highly recommended by account staff
  • Meet monthly business objectives including conducting a minimum of 16 staff training sessions and 6 samplings each month
  • Record results and share weekly recaps
  • Prepare monthly overview for the GTB team
  • Ensure implementation of all GTB brand point of sale materials
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, trade festivals, or consumer-facing festivals
  • Manage brand promotional and T&E budget for designated accounts
  • Conduct team meetings with distributor sales force to drive brand success
  • Represent Good Trouble Bourbon with integrity and professionalism
