Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
- Willingness to work unusual business hours such as holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Positive attitude and high energy
- Excellent communication and social skills
- Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information
- Physical ability to stand for 6-8 hours per day and work outdoors in various weather conditions, exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other materials

Job Duties
- Must be able to handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and always ensure damage prevention
- Porter’s responsibilities also include driving off-site to do dealership tasks when necessary
- It is also necessary for these individuals to take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements
- Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
- Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment
- Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
- Assign stock control numbers to cards
- Catalog and store keys
- Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department
- Other duties as assigned
