Job Requirements

  • a minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge, Hotelligence, RFP Express, Lanyon, and Salesforce.com
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
  • training in selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills preferred
  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • community involvement and/or professional association participation is highly regarded

Job Duties

  • selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel and wholesale groups
  • managing current accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • soliciting new business opportunities in all transient markets
  • preparing and presenting effective proposals and presentations to potential and existing clients
  • maintaining well-organized documentation and sales reports
  • utilizing Hyatt technology systems including Hotelligence, RFP Express, Lanyon, and Salesforce.com
  • coordinating customer service requirements with hotel operations staff
  • participating and potentially leading event, sales and staff meetings
  • collaborating with sales, catering, and administrative assistant teams as required
