Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of proven management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wine and spirits including regions, varietals, pairing techniques and production
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for beverage alcohol products
  • Ability to execute sales and product line strategies
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of experience in sales or related field
  • Three years of demonstrated management experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits including regions, varietals, product/food pairing techniques, production and service
  • Ability to communicate enthusiasm for the product and category
  • Knowledge of product features and ability to execute product line strategies
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales execution including measurable opportunities, pricing, BTG execution and back bar
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Lead, develop and manage a team of Area Managers or Sales Consultants
  • Define expectations, monitor progress and counsel if expectations are not met
  • Implement strategic sales plans to achieve company and supplier goals and initiatives
  • Conduct sales meetings, product presentations, train, develop and motivate the team to foster success
  • Receive, reconcile and communicate supplier goals and internal objectives
  • Direct sales development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals
  • Coach sales consultants and managers on CRM (Proof) sales pre-plan effectiveness including agenda, visit notes, opportunities, visit coverage and visit attribution
  • Coach sales consultants and managers on building an effective CRM (Proof) and eCommerce opportunity pipeline
  • Call on key accounts in designated territory/region and work with sales management to develop overall sales strategies
  • Collaborate with key accounts to improve product distribution
  • Embed adoption of new tools, technologies, capabilities and processes
  • Analyze and control division expenditures to conform to budget
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
