Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of hotel sales experience in corporate or association market
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Windows operating environment and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Positive and upbeat personality with flexibility
  • Commitment to high customer service standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year in hotel sales in the corporate and association market
  • Excellent network contacts in the industry
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Empower and CI/TY sales systems preferred
  • Experience in documentation including procedures, proposals, contracts and training
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Positive attitude and flexibility
  • Commitment to exceeding guest expectations

Job Duties

  • Assist and support Director of Sales and Marketing in sales operations
  • Actively solicit group, catering and independent business travel through various sales methods
  • Negotiate, contract and monitor account agreements and productivity
  • Solidify and maintain relationships with assigned accounts through regular visits and client entertainment
  • Develop creative programs to maximize reservations and client satisfaction
  • Work with sales team associates to promote to existing and prospect accounts
  • Respond promptly to client requests, ensuring proposals and contracts meet hotel requirements
  • Achieve monthly account, individual and team sales goals
  • Maintain proper and complete files and documentation
  • Develop and facilitate marketing, public relations and media projects
  • Participate in trade shows, networking organizations and industry functions as directed
