Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven sales experience preferably in hospitality
  • Ability to spend 80 percent of time in active sales solicitation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Regular attendance as scheduled
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk and lift 10 pounds
  • Proficient in operating office equipment

Job Duties

  • Conduct outside sales calls and inside appointments
  • Assist Director of Sales in annual marketing plan preparation
  • Send and follow up on proposals promptly
  • Document client requirements for room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Obtain and manage all necessary group information including billing and VIP arrangements
  • Maintain assigned sales quota
  • Prepare weekly sales call reports and itineraries
  • Collaborate cooperatively with staff
  • Promote guest service culture
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management
