Job Requirements
- Education level not specified
- Experience in sales preferably in hotel or hospitality industry
- Ability to work in a high demand, sometimes high-pressure environment
- Some travel required
- Regular attendance according to guidelines
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Basic computational ability
- Ability to maintain focus and complete multiple tasks on time despite interruptions
- Good communication skills both written and verbal

- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to participate in and sometimes lead departmental or hotel team meetings
Job Duties
- Conduct successful, aggressive solicitation involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letter and direct mail
- Assist the Director of Sales in the preparation of the annual marketing plan including action plans covering assigned market segments
- Send proposals on all leads fitting the property profile and actively follow up to convert proposals to definite status
- Clearly outline client room block requirements, suite needs, meeting and banquet space requirements on booking sheets
- Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups including billing, credit applications, rooming lists and VIP arrangements, and coordinate meeting details with catering manager
- Maintain a sales quota as assigned by Director of Sales
- Maintain sensitivity to customer satisfaction and guests' needs
- Prepare weekly sales call reports and weekly itineraries of planned sales calls
- Work cooperatively and friendly with fellow associates
- Practice a culture of guest service promoting courtesy, goodwill and positive attitude
- Perform reasonable requests as assigned by management
