Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-5 years in sales management
  • 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding operations
  • strong understanding of customs brokerage processes
  • proven sales track record
  • proficiency with ITS/Nextgen and CRM systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to travel as needed
  • ability to work in remote, hybrid, or office environments

Job Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in sales management
  • 1-2 years in freight forwarding operations
  • understanding of customs brokerage processes
  • proven ability to exceed sales targets and develop long-term business relationships
  • proficiency in ITS/Nextgen, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, O365, SharePoint
  • exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • organized and detail-oriented
  • collaborative and team player

Job Duties

  • Develop new business by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities to expand the client base
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to drive retention and growth
  • Craft and deliver compelling sales pitches that highlight the unique value of Emons’ services
  • Work closely with clients, agents, vendors, and carriers to secure competitive pricing through rate negotiation
  • Collaborate with the President, National Operations Manager, and Regional Import/Export Managers to align strategies and achieve company goals
  • Track and implement accounts while using CRM tools and MS Teams for effective collaboration
  • Stay updated on freight forwarding trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide top-notch service
  • Be available for travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
