Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field
  • minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management
  • demonstrated success in managing corporate accounts
  • strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • ability to travel locally for client meetings and industry events
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Manage the Corporate Group, Corporate Catering, and Business Travel segments within the San Diego region
  • maintain the existing client base, while acquiring new clients by networking, researching, prospecting/soliciting, and in-person sales calls
  • develop and maintain good relations with the VIP and key contacts within client organizations
  • achieve quarterly targets for sales growth, revenue, etc. as outlined in the Annual Business Plan, Budget, and Goal Workbook
  • develop strategies, tactics, profit targets, and sales plans for the San Diego market
  • develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and collaborators
  • remain innovative to increase business and profits through programming and offers
