Job Requirements

  • must primarily work during business hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm pst
  • must be able to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and business purposes
  • must abide by payroll policies and rules of conduct
  • must demonstrate knowledge of company safety and security procedures
  • must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • must be energetic and outgoing
  • must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • must be able to follow directions with attention to detail
  • must be a team player
  • must be able to multi-task
  • must be able to type 45 wpm
  • must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Job Qualifications

  • a four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • minimum three years of employment in related position
  • advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, catering, food and beverage, and hospitality principles
  • strong communication skills for negotiation and influence
  • ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and outlook
  • preferred knowledge of Opera system
  • energetic and outgoing personality
  • strong customer service and sales skills
  • ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • capable of working with minimal supervision
  • ability to understand and work with basic financial information
  • ability to type at least 45 words per minute
  • ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion

Job Duties

  • assist the Director of Sales in preparation of marketing, advertising, sales plans and programs
  • manage expenses within approved plans and budgets
  • support special events team for West Hollywood collection
  • participate in trade shows and professional organizations
  • meet or exceed booking goals for corporate, incentive group, military and government markets
  • initiate and follow up on leads
  • coordinate group and transient bookings to maximize profits
  • maintain and participate in active sales solicitation program
  • attend weekly staff meetings
  • assist in preparation of reports
  • monitor production of accounts and evaluate market trends
  • conduct site inspections with clients and FAMs
  • develop strategies to increase market share
  • greet onsite contacts
  • develop networking opportunities
  • create plans to counteract negative market trends
  • prospect new clients
  • assist with social media marketing
  • prepare presentations and proposals
