Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year sales management experience
- minimum of two years hotel sales experience in corporate/association market
- expertise in training, coaching and leadership disciplines
- sales and customer service skills and experience
- computer literacy in a Windows environment
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- knowledge of Empower and CI/TY preferred
- prior experience/education in documentation such as procedures, proposals, contracts and training
- performs well under pressure and meets deadlines
- trainable/teachable
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- ability to multitask on an ongoing basis
- superior written and verbal communication skills
- positive attitude and upbeat personality

- undergraduate degree

Job Duties
- Assist and support Director of Sales and Marketing in operations of sales and marketing department
- actively solicit group, catering and independent business travel through in-person sales calls, site inspections, tele-prospecting/email-prospecting, networking and sales trips
- negotiate, contract and monitor account agreements and productivity
- ensure competitive rates for maximum profitability
- solidify and maintain relationships with assigned accounts through visits, client entertainment, receptions, site inspections and follow-up
- develop creative programs to maximize reservations and client satisfaction
- collaborate with sales team associates to promote offerings
- respond to client requests on a same-day basis
- achieve monthly account, individual and team goals
- maintain proper and complete files/documentation on all accounts
- develop and facilitate marketing, public relations and media projects
- participate in trade shows, networking organizations and industry functions
