Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of sales experience in a 4/5-star resort preferred
  • Knowledge of Delphi and Salesforce required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and manage physical tasks related to role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong decision-making and attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and entertain clients
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of group market and related meetings industry
  • Basic hotel product knowledge including staffing, operations, safety, and security
  • Basic knowledge of hotel structure and departmental interactions
  • Knowledge of meeting room setup styles
  • Ability to process data accurately and perform mathematical computations
  • Ability to complete contracts in compliance with standards and hotel policies
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks efficiently
  • Supervisory skills including training and scheduling
  • Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies

Job Duties

  • Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to and negotiating with companies requiring group accommodations with or without meeting space and/or on-site catering
  • Represent hotel in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, concerns and issues
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third party agencies
  • Track target bookings from assigned territory
  • Develop and manage accounts to understand key contacts, decision making processes, target bookings, booking history and drivers
  • Commit to creating a luxury, customer focused sales and resort environment in all written and verbal communications
  • Meet with clients on property, during outside sales calls and attend major trade shows to assist in developing and securing business
  • Entertain new clients to funnel new luxury business for the resort
  • Conduct thoughtful, detailed site visits, interactions and customer events following resort SOPs and guidelines
  • Prepare proposals and/or contracts to advise availability and pricing
  • Develop sales forecasts, collect and report sales data
  • Act as sales leadership to support team of coordinators and assistants
  • Own the customer journey from assigned territory and create a five-star sales and service experience
  • Adhere to all SOPs for department and resort
  • Remain flexible in a demanding, sales-focused environment
  • Express a desire to continually learn and develop oneself
  • Be a positive contributor to the daily team environment and success of the sales team and resort’s financial objectives
  • Ensure the physical office environment is neat, tidy, and organized
  • Create positive relationships with other departments to ensure success of all guests and group customers
  • Participate in daily/weekly sales meetings, revenue management meetings and training
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers
