Job Requirements

  • BA or BS from a four-year college or university required
  • Driven sales acumen with proactive and energetic approach
  • Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, revenue management and budget analysis
  • Understanding of hotel revenue management concepts and processes
  • Service orientation focused on customer needs and satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to work from onsite office for 8 or more hours a day
  • Capacity to stand for up to four hours interacting with clients and walk for site tours for up to four hours
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Flexible and adaptable in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have own reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to represent the company with integrity and professionalism at all times

Job Qualifications

  • BA or BS from a four-year college or university
  • Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, revenue management and budget analysis
  • Thorough understanding of hotel revenue management concepts, processes and strategies
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think clearly, analyze and resolve problems
  • Leadership qualities and ability to inspire confidence
  • Experience with Sales CRM systems such as Delphi or STSR is preferred

Job Duties

  • Proactively solicit potential new account opportunities through sales calls, telephone solicitation, networking, internet research, attending tradeshows and client events
  • Use professional selling skills to open, probe, support, and close sales
  • Possess exceptional negotiating skills to close sales and meet aggressive targets
  • Research local competition and understand market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Maintain timely communication with Director of Sales, General Manager, hotel staff and Corporate Office on group rooms and incoming reservations
  • Build and maintain rapport with customers throughout the sales process
  • Act as primary on-site contact for all groups and assist walk-in customers with hotel site inspections
