Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years sales experience in a hotel or resort
  • Proven sales skills with a track record of closing sales and maintaining business relationships
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build and maintain professional business relations
  • Experience with market analysis and telemarketing
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and follow through on sales leads
  • Availability to travel and work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Solicit and negotiate with accounts to generate group business
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle including executive contacts, presentations, and proposals
  • Research, analyze and telemarket prospective clients
  • Identify business opportunities and plan sales strategies
  • Conduct outside local sales calls and site inspections with potential accounts
  • Research, negotiate and respond to incoming group, corporate and travel requests
  • Attend night and weekend meetings with prospective clients to fulfill business goals
