Job Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must possess and maintain a valid telephone number
  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays for event coverage
  • Willingness to travel out-of-town and stay overnight as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to respond to 100% of incoming leads
  • Strong customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, public relations, business administration, or a related field
  • Five years of experience in venue sales, event planning, or a similar environment
  • Proven success in relationship-based sales
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Momentus preferred
  • Strong knowledge of convention sales management and hospitality industry practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment

Job Duties

  • Manages sales efforts for meetings, conventions, and special events primarily through digital marketing and partnerships
  • Develops a system to efficiently prioritize and respond to incoming event inquiries
  • Collaborates with Visit Central Florida, Convention & Visitors Bureau, catering, and hotel partners on referrals and promotions
  • Builds relationships with industry professionals and local event organizers
  • Works with marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and visibility
  • Creates proposals, conducts site tours, and delivers customized presentations
  • Gathers client requirements, prepares contracts, and finalizes booking details
  • Maintains CRM system for communication tracking and lead progress
  • Provides sales reports and insights to leadership
  • Represents RP Funding Center at industry events to increase visibility
  • Monitors event progress and provides assistance to ensure success
  • Participates in training and may work alternate hours for department operation
