Job Duties
- Targets accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation
- Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve individual and property revenue goals
- Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue
- Develops effective sales plans and actions
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business
- Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations
- Conducting site inspections
- Preparing and presenting effective proposals
- Maintain well organized documentation and reports
- Utilize sales, reservations, and revenue management systems
- Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
- Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients
- Delivers excellent customer service throughout the customer experience and encourages the same from other employees
- Oversees the customer experience from sale through the post event phase until turnover back to sales
- Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the customer and property operations
- Solicits feedback from the property departments to identify areas for improvement to enhance the guest experience
