Job Duties

  • Targets accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation
  • Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve individual and property revenue goals
  • Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue
  • Develops effective sales plans and actions
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenues and close on business
  • Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations
  • Conducting site inspections
  • Preparing and presenting effective proposals
  • Maintain well organized documentation and reports
  • Utilize sales, reservations, and revenue management systems
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
  • Partner with operations and events departments to ensure full participation in servicing guests and clients
  • Delivers excellent customer service throughout the customer experience and encourages the same from other employees
  • Oversees the customer experience from sale through the post event phase until turnover back to sales
  • Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the customer and property operations
  • Solicits feedback from the property departments to identify areas for improvement to enhance the guest experience
