Job Requirements
- Must reside within 50 miles of Chula Vista, California
- previous sales experience preferred
- high school diploma or GED or 2-year degree in relevant field
- strong communication and selling skills
- ability to work collaboratively with sales teams
- knowledge of hospitality and property operations
- ability to handle group sales inquiries and lead requests
- experience in customer service and relationship building
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required
- preferred 2 years selling group business at a property or sales office
- knowledge of property operations and food and beverage
- understanding of group sales process and closing sales
- team-based selling experience
- hospitality management degree
Job Duties
- Handle customer inquiries and lead requests for groups
- respond in a timely manner to group and catering opportunities
- refer opportunities outside parameters to appropriate associates
- align customer preferences with brand needs and up-sell business opportunities
- verify timely turnover of business for quality service delivery
- maintain customer loyalty through excellent service
- demonstrate excellent selling and communication skills
- work collaboratively with other sales channels
- understand the overall market and competitors
- close opportunities based on market conditions and property needs
- execute operational aspects of business booked
- transfer accurate information per brand standards
- utilize marketing initiatives to close business
- implement process improvements
- leverage Group Sales resources to achieve revenue goals
- process business correspondence and create contracts
- perform other duties as assigned
- establish coordinated sales efforts
- drive customer loyalty through customer service
- serve customers by understanding needs
- build and strengthen customer relationships
- maintain working relationships with stakeholders
- establish clear customer and property expectations
- resolve guest issues effectively
- escalate issues to leadership as needed
