Job Requirements

  • Four years or more of progressive hotel sales experience preferably with Hyatt
  • hospitality or tourism degree preferred
  • previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • familiarity with Hyatt sales operating systems preferred
  • ability to flex schedule
  • comply at all times with Hyatt standards and regulations
  • history of hospitality score if available
  • demonstrated ability to interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • relevant sales and event services experience
  • flexible to work some nights and weekends when necessary
  • results-driven, energetic, and focused
  • caring leader that builds trust and engagement
  • creative and strategic in developing marketing and advertising campaigns
  • innovative thinker
  • service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • must possess high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, proven track record in high-volume concepts, effective communication, and exceptional customer service abilities
  • clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Oversee sales, marketing, and event operations
  • manage budget, P&L, and revenue forecasting
  • develop and implement sales and marketing strategies
  • sell and service banquet food and beverage events
  • conduct menu planning and agenda setting
  • host hotel tours and maintain client relationships
  • lead recruitment, training, and coaching of sales and event staff
  • review contracts and facilitate communication with hotel staff
  • manage sales operating systems and customer accounts
  • participate and lead meetings with ownership and staff
