Job Requirements

  • 3 plus years of progressive sales experience
  • Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel management software
  • Strong negotiation and selling abilities
  • Ability to walk and talk frequently during shifts
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive sales experience
  • Previous experience in hospitality industry preferred
  • Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services preferred
  • Strong negotiation and creative selling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Delphi systems
  • Ability to conduct customer research
  • Skilled in up-selling products and services
  • Knowledge of menu planning and banquet operations
  • Experience managing room and meeting space inventories
  • Strong customer development and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of hotel operations and audiovisual products
  • Knowledge of contract management and legalities
  • Financial management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective presentation and closing skills
  • Strong organizational and persuasion skills

Job Duties

  • Builds the department top line revenue by adhering to sales strategy guidelines
  • Meets and exceeds individual revenue goals
  • Manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs
  • Mentors others within the sales process
  • Conducts sales calls, entertainment, and customer site inspections
  • Proactively identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business
  • Responds to incoming inquiries within 4 hours
  • Closes business opportunities based on market conditions and hotel needs
  • Accurately forecasts group rooms and revenue
  • Creates sales contracts
  • Ensures high customer satisfaction and builds long-term relationships
  • Coordinates event details and follows up post-event
  • Provides leadership in guest hospitality throughout events
  • Manages conflict and contributes to team results
  • Adheres to company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Actively pursues talent development
  • Shares knowledge and promotes continuous learning
