Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hotel sales experience preferred
  • Experience with Marriott Hilton Best Western IHG hotels or similar brands preferred
  • Ability to perform major life activities including standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to see hear speak and read English
  • Valid driver s license and ability to drive on behalf of the company
  • Commitment to company goals
  • Ability to influence others and engage clients and coworkers
  • Strong work ethic and self starting attitude
  • Willingness to multitask and maintain guest service focus
  • Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Previous hotel sales experience preferred as a sales coordinator hotel operations or equivalent
  • Experience selling Marriott Hilton Best Western IHG hotels Hilton Focus Service Full Service and or Extended Stay lodging or tourism hospitality
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Creative and strategic skills
  • Ability to relate well with others and work flexibly with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint
  • Experience with customer relationship software like Delphi.fdc or STS preferred

Job Duties

  • Handle inquiry calls proposals negotiations and contracts according to departmental procedures
  • Document all sales activities in STS Cloud or Delphi.fdc sales systems depending on the brand
  • Book appropriate business that allows hotel to achieve or exceed monthly room revenue budget and if applicable other revenue budgets
  • Approach the position with a relationship building proactive selling mindset
  • Ensure weekly telephone prospecting qualification solicitation calls goals and outside call goals are met or exceeded
  • Use property computerized sales management system to manage the hotels business including adding sales activities generating weekly sales reports entering business blocking meeting space and building accounts
  • Utilize available business tools to prospect for new business including brand database reports local newspapers business journals internet prospecting Construct Connect ZoomInfo Agency 360 and brand reporting
  • Provide detailed follow up via email for client visits site visits and cold calls
  • Regularly communicate with clients to book or maintain business
  • Contribute to annual budgeting process revenue generation and advertising and promotion costs
