Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- minimum three years of progressive sales experience
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to lift up to ten pounds
- valid driver’s license
- willingness to pursue continuous learning and development
- ability to manage multiple priorities
- excellent negotiation and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Must have three or more years of progressive sales experience
- previous hospitality industry experience preferred
- experience selling luxury brands and experiential services preferred
- strong negotiating and creative selling abilities
- proficiency with Microsoft Office
- knowledge of Delphi and Delphi Diagrams systems
- ability to conduct internet research
- ability to meet weekly prospecting and soliciting goals
- skills to up-sell products and services effectively
- knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, banquet and event service operations
- ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories
- strong customer development and relationship management skills
- understanding of hotel operations and impact on sales
- knowledge of AV products and services
- knowledge of contract management and legalities
- financial management skills including P&L understanding, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling
- strong verbal, listening, and writing communication skills

Job Duties
- Build department top line revenue by adhering to sales strategy guidelines
- identify revenue opportunities based on event profiles
- meet and exceed individual revenue goals
- manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet needs
- up-sell products and services throughout the sales process
- build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers
- conduct customer site inspections
- proactively solicit and target key accounts or markets
- respond to incoming inquiries within four hours
- close business opportunities based on market conditions
- accurately forecast group sleeping rooms and revenue
- create sales contracts as required
- comprehend budgets and assist in financial management
- ensure high level of customer satisfaction
- coordinate and communicate event details with customers
- greet customers during events and hand-off to Convention Services
- solve problems during events
- demonstrate leadership in guest hospitality
- interact with guests for feedback and handle complaints
- review guest service results and implement corrective actions
- use hotel systems to manage customer information
