Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience with Marriott brand or comparable hospitality market role
- Ability to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems effectively

Job Duties
- Exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual targeted sales goals
- Maintain an active list of target accounts to ensure continuous relationship development
- Establish new client relationships and maintain existing relationships to maximize revenue
- Actively solicit new business opportunities through prospecting target client lists
- Seek methods to penetrate key business activities within the market and find profitable ways to bring this business to the hotel
- Respond in a timely manner to incoming group sales opportunities that are within pre-defined parameters
- Work collaboratively with other sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative
- Capture and close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions, the property's needs, and within the hotel parameters
- Coordinate and plan all familiarization tours, in-market customer events, and site inspections, ensuring communication with Event Management and tracking bookings and leads generated
- Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business by transferring accurate and timely information to the Events department
- Effectively resolve guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, brand guidelines, and safety and security procedures
- Perform all additional duties as assigned by management
