Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years in hotel or hospitality sales
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proficiency in English communication
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales management
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Knowledge of hospitality industry market trends and competitor activities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer service orientation with attention to detail
- Experience in conducting sales presentations and networking events
Job Duties
- Exceeding guest expectations by providing exceptional service
- Demonstrating leadership through effective communication and integrity
- Modeling appropriate professional behaviors
- Making informed decisions and solving problems efficiently
- Soliciting and qualifying new mid-week and weekend business including food and beverage and banquet sales
- Participating in industry and civic organizations to promote the hotel and generate business
- Proactively booking sleeping rooms and group business
- Maintaining knowledge of the competition’s products and marketing strategies
- Coordinating with hotel departments to ensure efficient group arrangements
- Promoting a positive image of the hotel through personal appearance and public relations
- Completing sales objectives and action plans as directed
- Providing follow-up and soliciting repeat bookings
- Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports
- Responding promptly to sales inquiries and correspondence
- Conducting proactive sales calls, appointments, site inspections, trade shows, and networking
- Qualifying and growing existing accounts
- Confirming group bookings within approved guidelines
- Tracing accounts for follow-up
- Traveling for sales calls and trade shows
- Supporting company promotions as needed
- Responding to additional requests from management
