Job Duties

  • Achieves catering and guest room revenue goals by developing and implementing sales strategies
  • contacts potential business in local market through appointments or cold calls to meet call productivity and revenue
  • contacts group business to determine guest rooms and catering needs
  • clarifies guest requirements and suggests alternative menus, themes, etc
  • meets overall budgeted sales and profitability margin by soliciting, evaluating, selling, and confirming business
  • prepares proposals for clients which outline details of proposed functions, coordinates preparation of estimates with other food and beverage departments, collects payment in a timely manner
  • qualifies prospective leads as to profitability
  • negotiates with client to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs
