Job Requirements

  • two to three years work-related experience in sales

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the sales department
  • plan, organize, and assign work as needed
  • develop and communicate strategies and goals
  • train and advise team of policies and procedures
  • develop business through direct sales solicitation
  • secure new clients
  • maintain existing clients while executing sales plans strategy to maximize profitability of the hotel
  • follow up on leads to gain additional business
  • increase profitable sales volume for the hotel by meeting and exceeding financial and proactive selling goals
  • ensure all solicitation, closing, and client communications are documented
  • develop and assist with hotel marketing and sales strategy based on market segments
  • implement sales and marketing plans
  • analyze current and potential market sales and trends
  • conduct competitor pricing and product analysis
  • prepare departmental budget reflecting business plan
  • forecast occupancy fluctuations
  • meet or exceed budgeted revenue per available room
  • achieve sales revenue goals via in-house and outside sales calls, telemarketing, site visits
  • support guest services by addressing guest needs and providing resolution
  • execute operational aspects of business booked including proposals, contracts, and guest correspondence
  • perform other tasks to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
