Job Requirements
- Ba or Bs from a four-year college or university required
- driven sales acumen
- energetic proactive takes calculated risks and perseveres to attain goals
- possesses extensive knowledge of sales marketing revenue management and budget analysis capabilities
- thorough understanding of hotel revenue management
- knowledge of total hotel revenue management concepts including sales cycles and trends account management pricing and inventory management
- service orientation including customer needs assessment meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- self-motivated and driven to achieve goals independently with minimal supervision
- must be able to work from onsite office for 8 or more hours a day stand at front desk interacting with clients for up to four hours at a time walk for site tours for up to four hours a day occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities in team-oriented environment
- experience in sales crm system such as delphi or stsr preferred but not required
- excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
- must be able to think clearly analyze and resolve problems while exercising good judgment
- must be able to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
- strong sales acumen and proactive approach
- extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, revenue management, and budget analysis
- understanding of hotel revenue management concepts and sales cycles

- ability to work long hours onsite and perform physical tasks such as site tours and lifting
- flexibility and adaptability
- experience with sales CRM systems like Delphi or STSR preferred

- ability to maintain calm and courteous demeanor
Job Duties
- Proactively solicit potential new account opportunities through sales calls
- use telephone solicitation and networking
- conduct internet research and prospecting campaigns
- attend tradeshows and client events
- apply professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
- possess exceptional negotiating skills to close sales and meet targets
- understand market, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
- research local competition and hotel market comp set
- pull hotel reports to solicit and target in-house guests for referrals and leads
- maintain timely and effective communications with Director of Sales, General Manager, staff and Corporate Office
- maintain accurate and updated accounts in sales and hotel software
- build and maintain rapport with customers
- assist walk-in customers with site inspections
- act as primary on-site contact for all groups
- demonstrate excellent communication skills
- manage multiple sales channels simultaneously
- process and work RFPs and leads promptly
- prepare and maintain quarterly action plans
- have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for sales calls
- ensure all definite bookings have proper signatures and commitments
- maintain service orientation and customer satisfaction
- apply thorough understanding of hotel revenue management concepts
- exhibit leadership qualities to inspire confidence
- perform other duties as assigned
