Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- skilled in Windows and company-approved spreadsheet and word processing software
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and guests
- ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- available to work long hours when required
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- attend all required meetings and trainings
- participate in M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled
- maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- comply with company standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
- demonstrate problem anticipation and resolution skills
- maintain confidentiality of information
- perform other duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- college coursework in related field helpful
- experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- skilled in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- willing to attend all required meetings and training
- participate in M.O.D. coverage
- maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards
- comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations

- ability to evaluate complex information and maintain confidentiality
Job Duties
- Attend daily Highgate Hotel Business Review (HHBR) meeting
- develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations
- develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOPs and ensure sales team adherence
- meet or exceed set goals
- operate the Sales Department within established sales expense budget
- participate in M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled
- initiate and follow up on leads
- maintain active sales solicitation program
- monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
- regularly contact existing accounts per Account Coverage Program
- meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals
- invite clients for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections
- assist in implementing special promotions
- prepare required reports timely
- familiarize with sales policies emphasizing occupancy and ADR maximization
- conduct professional site inspections
- manage hotel’s business using computerized sales management system
- meet and greet onsite contacts
- abide by Prime Selling Time (PST)
- develop networking opportunities through community and professional associations
- review meeting planner evaluations with Director of Sales
- entertain clients
- handle inquiries during Inquiry Day Program
